We have great news for the Diablo fans, game’s publisher, Blizzard, seemed to tease that a version of the game maybe coming to Nintendo Switch. The company later squashed the rumors by releasing a statement, “We can assure you we’re not that clever.” Now, a new report claims the long-running action-RPG series is coming to Nintendo’s hybrid console after all.
Eurogamer reports that yes, Diablo is coming to Switch–particularly, it will be a port of Diablo III that makes its way to the Nintendo Switch. The new report didn’t mention about the Diablo III’s Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions will come within the port and does not mention a release date as well. An official reveal is still months away, the site says.

The news comes as a surprise after Blizzard tweeted last week–which showed a Diablo-themed light being switched on and off–was “meant to be a fun community engagement piece” and that Blizzard has “nothing to announce” about the game to Switch.
Diablo III originally released just for PC in 2012. It was then released for PS3 and Xbox 360, before being ported to PS4 and Xbox One in 2014.
