Game of Thrones Season 5 launches in the US on the 12 of April and in the UK on the 13th of April and now Sky has announced that the world premiere of the show will take place in London next month.
Sky will be showing the world premiere of Game of Thrones in the Tower of London on the 18th of March, this is the first time the world premiere of the show takes place in Europe.
Ahead of the highly anticipated return of the world’s most talked about show, Sky Atlantic today announces that the World Premiere of Game of Thrones will be held in London for the first time. The star-studded red carpet event will take place at one of Britain’s most recognisable and historic locations, the Tower of London.
Since launching in 2011, Game of Thrones has become a bona fide TV phenomenon, keeping viewers guessing with a string of headline-making twists and turns and, as is tradition, the producers are keeping tight-lipped about what’s to come. Respecting the impenetrable cloak of secrecy that shrouds the show, there couldn’t be a more fitting venue than the high-security home of the Crown Jewels, one of the world’s most famous fortresses, to showcase the opening episode of season five for the first time anywhere to an invited audience from Sky’s home markets in the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Italy.
