GAME OF THRONES Season 7 is Going To Be Delayed Due to Good Weather

GAME OF THRONES

Game of Thrones season 6 finale just ended and it will be long 10 months before we see the new season. Normally the show ends in June and picks up again the next April, but showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss visited the UFC Unfiltered podcast and revealed some new information: we may have to wait longer than normal to see new episodes of the show:

We don’t have an air date yet, but this year will probably be a bit later. We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, winter is here. And that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. So we’ve kind of pushed everything down the line, so we could get some grim, grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.

Director Jack Bender also revealed that the next season will only have seven episodes.
