Game Of Thrones Season 7 Has Been Pirated 1 Billion Times! That’s Insane

GAME OF THRONES Season 7

Game of Thrones is one of the most pirated TV shows ever and as the time continues, it only gets pirated more.

The premiere episode of Season 7 was pirated 90 million times, but that is nothing compared to the overall season because according to a new report, Game of Thrones Season 7 has been pirated over 1 billion times, which means that each episode has been pirated at least 142 million times on average. Can you imagine how much money HBO would have made through these views if done legally?

It looks like the season finale was pirated over 120 million times alone, which takes into account both illegal downloads and streams across piracy channels. Apparently, the majority of piracy comes from streams at 84.7%, while torrents accounted for 9.1%.

There’s little HBO can do to stop it, because if they were to shut one pirate down, another 10 would rise up and take its place. Season 8 is expected to be the last season in the series, so we can only imagine how much more pirated the show will get from here on out. No other show is pirated to this size ever. Just imagine if HBO actually got paid for those views somehow.
