LUTHER is Coming Back!

BBC One just announced that they are resurrecting Luther for a 2 hour long special episodes and Idris Elba also confirmed it. BBC shared this message on Facebook:

#Luther is coming back to where he belongs. Back to London. Back to work. And back to BBC One.

Idris Elba will reprise his role as DCI John Luther in two hour-long specials for BBC One. Luther will film in and around London in March 2015 and will be broadcast on BBC One next year.

Previously series creator Neil Cross expressed no intention to do a series four of the Luther but instead he was interested in doing a movie.

Luther is the best British psychological crime drama television series starring Idris Elba as the title character, Detective Chief Inspector John Luther, who works in London, Great Britain. A first series of six episodes was broadcast on BBC One from 4 May to 8 June 2010. The second series of four episodes was shown on BBC One in summer 2011. The third series of four episodes ran from 2 to 23 July 2013.

Elba has been nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Miniseries or Television Film for each consecutive season, winning at the 69th Golden Globe Awards.[2] The series has also received eight Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
