Resident Evil Village Release Date And PS5 Demo Unveiled

At Capcom’s official Resident Evil Village showcase today, the developer released a series of announcements, which includes an official release date, a new PlayStation-exclusive demo, and extending the line of release consoles which include the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Resident Evil Village will be released on May 7, and you can pre-order starting today. When Capcom first revealed the Resident Evil Village, previously referred to as Resident Evil 8, the company only revealed that it will be published on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC.

Capcom has revealed that with the next-gen systems, Resident Evil Village will be released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the same day as PS5 and Series X. Capcom said before that it was looking into it, but could not confirm.

The PS4 owners will get a free digital upgrade to the PS5 version, and Xbox Smart Delivery will automatically update the Xbox One version for the Series X, If you have one.

Capcom announced various versions of Resident Evil Village, which starts from a standard edition all the way to a Collector’s Edition complete with collector’s box and Chris statue.

PS5 owners will also be able to play the exclusive Resident Evil Village demo today. Producer Pete Fabiano also said that the demo is not a part of the final game, but it is a completely unique experience.
