If you don’t know, XKCD is the famous webcomic made in 2005 by author and ex-NASA scientist, Randall Munroe. It’s witty, educational, and if you’ve spent any meaningful time on the Internet, you’ve probably come across one of his brilliant comics.
What does XKCD stand for? Munroe explains:
It’s not actually an acronym. It’s just a word with no phonetic pronunciation — a treasured and carefully-guarded point in the space of four-character strings.
It was a standard webcomic format, Munroe has also become famous for his entertaining infographics. Some are an immediate chuckle while others are amazingly comprehensive and informative.
