According to Reddit, today is the 14 year anniversary of the Futurama episode “Jurassic Bark.” In it, Fry finds the fossilized remains of his dog Seymour and wishes to clone him, but after learning he lives long after Fry goes missing in the year 2000, decides that it’s better off to leave him with the memories they shared. We then cut to one of the saddest scenes in geek culture in which Fry’s dog Seymour is seen standing in front of the spot Fry left him for several years waiting until he dies of old age.
