1977 Making of STAR WARS Documentary as Told By C-3PO and R2-D2

If you are looking for some fun Star Wars awesomeness into your life today, check out this 1977 documentary that you have to check out. It’s called The Making of Star Wars… as Told C-3PO and R2-D2.

The documentary begins with footage of the two droids putting their footprints in cement at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood and then it goes to them talking about the making of the movie. There’s some great behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage, and it also explains the career of George Lucas and includes an interview with the director talking about what motivated him to want to make Star Wars. The video also goes into how the special effects were produced for the epic movie.

The video has been around for a while, but I don’t recall ever seeing it. If you’ve never seen it either, it’s worth checking out! If you have seen it, then it might be worth revisiting. There’s a lot of cool stuff packed into this doc that you don’t want to miss out on!

The documentary crew also spoke with actors Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, and Alec Guinness.
