198X Release Date For PC and PS4 Versions Revealed

If you love retro gaming and like to play a very cool retro game which is about to be released, you may want to check out 198X from Hi-Bit Studios. The indie game looks to blend elements of different genres from gaming days of past like beat ‘em up, racing, scrolling shooter, RPG, and more. It really looks fun and a solid contender, and the story is said to be a coming-of-age drama. Hi-Bit Studios explains:

“198X is an arcade epic. A coming-of-age story told through multiple games and genres, worlds and characters. Experience the thrill of shooting, driving, jumping, fighting and role-playing – combined with emotional, cinematic storytelling. This is a love letter to the golden age of arcade games – yet with a scope that was never possible in the actual 1980s.”

According to CB, the story will follow a teenager in Suburbia. Kid finds a local arcade which allows him to explore new worlds and meaning through video games. 198X looks very impressive and it is definitely a game for the lovers of arcade gaming of the 1980s.

198X will launch on PC and PS4 on June 20 and the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One versions release dates are still not announced.
