Did you ever think about what’s a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie scene is so brilliant that it should win an Oscar So with that in mind, here are just a few more of the MCU moments that would like to thank the academy:
“The scene when Tony, Peter, and Dr. Strange all meet the Guardians on Titan. It’s so funny, and Drax delivers the iconic line, ‘Why is Gamora?!'”
“*Knock, knock, knock.* ‘Are you Tony…Stank?’ Who DOESN’T love this moment? ALL Marvel fans do!
“Tom Holland and Robert Downey Jr. did most of that scene unscripted, which just makes the scene even more heartbreaking.”
“Easily my favorite little moment in any of the films.”
“I can’t believe the battle of New York wasn’t listed originally. The first time they stand together as a group and the Avengers theme plays still send chills down my spine!”
“Steve Rogers emerging from the machine after his transformation was ICONIC.”
“When Steve fights Tony — it’s just so emotional and well done.”
“Steve 1: ‘I can do this all day—’ Steve 2: ‘Yeah, I know, I know!’ It kills me every time!”
“It’s the first we really see of their relationship, and that scene was just so sweet and done really well.”
“When Tony shows up in Germany blaring AC/DC’s ‘Shoot To Thrill’ — it’s one of my absolute favorite scenes.”
“Korg explaining to Thor why he’s ‘kinda a big deal around here’ is perfection.”
“The greatest scene is, in my opinion, what happens right before everyone else’s favorite scene. Cap was battered and beaten, and Thanos’ forces were gathering. Cap painfully got up and walked towards the whole army, planning to take them all on by himself if he had to! That summed up everything about Cap’s character right there — refusal to quit, refusal to accept defeat.”
“For me, it’s a quieter moment: when Steve’s talking to Dr. Erskine. Erskine tells him that the serum ‘amplifies everything,’ which is why Steve was chosen. When he told Steve not to be a ‘perfect soldier,’ but a ‘good man,’ it hit me hard.”
“He’s protecting his family and when he said, ‘We are Groot,’ it definitely made me teary-eyed!”
“I know some people thought it was ‘cheesy’ and ‘forced,’ but — as a young girl who was brought up on Marvel movies — I thought it was amazing. Seeing all these women I had admired my whole life come together in that one moment was so special and it’s honestly my favorite scene in any movie ever. I like to think that the Russo Brothers did that for all the little girls like me that were raised on Marvel movies to remind them that they are heroes, too!”
“My pick is Peter and Happy’s conversation on the jet. You get a unique, insider-but-outsider look at Tony Stark and what those who surrounded him truly thought of him. You see Happy’s loss, and that he clearly cared about Tony. He cares deeply for Peter, too, even if their relationship isn’t defined the same way. Happy clearly trusts Peter because Tony trusted Peter. He knows that Peter could become greater than Tony Stark.”
“No words, just: 😭😭😭”
“The Bucky/Cap/Falcon/Black Panther chase scene is one of the absolute best sequences in the MCU, plus it’s the moment when we’re finally introduced to Black Panther!”
“How was this not on the original list?! I mean, it’s one of the most ICONIC scenes of all time?!”
“Though it technically might not count as a ‘moment in the MCU,’ one of the most powerful moments I experienced in a theater was when I went to see Captain Marvel. The previews had ended, the lights had dimmed, and the well-known ‘MARVEL’ opening sequence began to play — except every hero had been replaced by a different moment from the recently departed Stan Lee. THE Marvel Hero. I was weeping before the film even started. It was a PERFECT tribute to his legacy.”
