4 Endangered Species Represented by the Number of Pixels

Endangered Species

Population by Pixel was an award-winning 2008 print campaign for WWF Japan by Hakuhodo C&D. The campaign was given Gold at The One Show for its depiction of endangered animal populations by the number of pixels in an image of each threatened animal.

The more pixelated an image is, the blurrier it gets and the more difficult it becomes to discern. This works absolutely with the subject matter and drove home the message with a beautiful visual.
