Check out this brilliant art which is made by artist “Cardboard Creationism” who intricately forms a complete deck of cards to reveal a 3D version of the pattern exposed on the back of a playing card.
Every time he cuts a card he makes it more complicated, finally stacking all 52 back into the pack and creating a kind of ‘relief’. No glue is used, just an X-Acto knife and a very stable hand. You can see a timelapse of the method below along with some extra close-ups for some extra fun.
