After Six Years, GTA Online’s Casino Has Been Updated Finally!

If you go to casino in Grand Theft Auto Online right now, you’ll see that some changes have been made to the structure. After almost six years, it seems the abandoned and unused casino is being renewed, and, according to data miners, more new things are coming to the casino.

When GTA V and GTA Online launched in 2013, players saw an unused casino just north of Los Santos. On the front of the building was a sign stating the casino was “Coming Soon!” a lot of years passed. This sign became a joke, and the casino became an alien relic.

After a little server-side update to GTA Online earlier today, that sign is gone. Beyond removing the sign, the front porch is now blocked off by construction stuff and cones. It seems something is happening. When I went to see it earlier today, I saw other players examining the area too and there was a lot of crowds looking and finding evidence.

There were rumors that GTAO Next Update will feature the casino, I can confirm it.
Just now, R* have updated the background script to set specific dates that will apply changes to the casino.

According to Tezfun, a well-known GTA data miner, this is just the start. He has found strings of code within the game that seems to lay out a plan for the casino. Tezfun says that over the next few weeks more construction stuff will appear, with the facade proceeding to change for most of June.

What is this all leading to? The speculation in the GTA Online community is that a huge update focused on the casino will release sometime in late June or early July. The timing for these rumors and the updates to the casino are exciting since last month Rockstar added gambling to Red Dead Online in the form of new poker games. Exciting times are coming my fellow GTA fans.
