The new season is in full swing and I have to say it is way better than the last two seasons. Let’s hope the rest of the show will be as good as the first episode. Today, FX Networks has announced that the premiere episode of the new show American Horror Story: Roanoke ranks among the top telecasts of the franchise in all key demos. To date, the combined linear and non-linear audience for the debut episode stands at 10.9 million Total Viewers.
The premiere of AHS: Roanoke was the most-watched primetime telecast of the night in all of television among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.
On a Live+3 basis, the premiere telecast (Wednesday, September 14, 10-11 PM) received 8.3 million Total Viewers and 5.6 million Adults 18-49, making it the third most-watched telecast in franchise history in Total Viewers, Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. The premiere telecast also ranks among the most-watched telecasts in FX Networks history (#3 in Adults 18-34, #5 in Adults 18-49, and #7 in Total Viewers out of over 163,000+ telecasts).
The premiere telecast was up +52% in Adults 18-49 and +50% in Total Viewers over the season average ratings of last year’s American Horror Story: Hotel on a Live+3 basis. As compared to the premiere telecast of AHS: Hotel, the premiere telecast of AHS: Roanoke was down -8% among Adults 18-49 (5.6 million vs. 6.1 million) and -9% among Total Viewers (8.3 million vs. 9.1 million).
