Angelina Jolie And Michelle Pfeiffer Goes To War in New Trailer for MALEFICENT: MISTRESS OF EVIL

Disney has unveiled a new trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, and it is packed with cool new footage from the film that shows Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent going to battle with Michelle Pfeiffer‘s Queen Ingrith.

Maleficent is presented as an overbearing mother who doesn’t want Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning) to get married with Price Phillip (Harris Dickinson) because she doesn’t like his mother.

I am not a fan of the franchise but this sequel looks like it’ll be more of the same to me. The movie was directed by Joachim Rønning, here’s the synopsis:

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is a fantasy adventure that picks up several years after “Maleficent,” in which audiences learned of the events that hardened the heart of Disney’s most notorious villain and drove her to curse a baby Princess Aurora. The film continues to explore the complex relationship between the horned fairy and the soon to be Queen as they form new alliances and face new adversaries in their struggle to protect the moors and the magical creatures that reside within.

The movie also stars Chiwetel Ejiofor, Sam Riley, Ed Skrein, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple, and Lesley Manville.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil hits theaters on October 18th.
