Anthony Mackie’s TWISTED METAL Series Trailer

Peacock, the streaming service owned by NBCUniversal, has released the first teaser trailer and poster for its upcoming series adaptation of the popular video game Twisted Metal. The show promises to be a thrilling ride for fans of the game, as well as those who love high-octane action and comedy.

Anthony Mackie, known for his roles in Marvel’s Falcon and The Winter Soldier and The Hurt Locker, stars as John Doe, a quick-witted outsider who is given the chance to change his life for the better. All he has to do is successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland, which is easier said than done. Along the way, he teams up with a trigger-happy car thief and encounters a range of enemies, including savage marauders driving vehicles of destruction and a deranged clown named Sweet Tooth, who drives an all-too-familiar ice cream truck.

Joe Seanoa, better known as Samoa Joe, will play the dual role of Sweet Tooth, who is described as a hilarious and terrifying hulk of a man. He is emotional, cunning, and loves chaos, using Lost Vegas as his personal kill-ground. Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, Lou Beatty Jr., and Richard Cabral round out the cast, each playing unique and interesting characters that add to the show’s overall appeal.

The series is being developed by Cobra Kai writer Michael Jonathan Smith and is based on an original take by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the writers behind Deadpool and Zombieland. Will Arnett is also producing the show, which promises to be a wild ride full of explosive action, comedy, and memorable characters.
