Apple has announced the two most important details for Apple Arcade: price and release window. The game-subscription service will be available on September 19 via the App Store and will cost users $4.99 a month and I heard it will cost under $2 in India.
This will give players access to over 100 exclusive games. At release, some of the games available will be Frogger in Toy Town, Sayonara Wild Hearts, and Shinsekai: Into the Depths. In addition, Apple Arcade will offer a one-month free trial.
Other games include “Bandai Namco’s Pac-Man Party Royale, a new game in the classic franchise featuring a four-player battle mode; Gameloft’s Ballistic Baseball arcade baseball game; Sega’s ChuChu Rocket! Universe puzzle game; Devolver’s Exit the Gungeon, in which players must escape a collapsing hell dungeon; Finji’s post-apocalyptic road trip adventure Overland; Steven Universe: Unleash the Light, an original Cartoon Network role-playing game based on the series, co-written by show creator Rebecca Sugar; and Various Daylife from Square Enix, an RPG from the creators of Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler set in the year 211 of the Imperial Era.”
Apple Arcade will be available on iPhones, iPads, Apple TV and Macs via a new tab in the App Store. It was announced that the games will have no ads or in-app purchases and won’t be available anywhere else. It also gives access to up to 6 people per account.
What do you think of this service? Will you be trying it out?
