Apple Will Fix The iPhone 8 Issue With The New Update

iOS 11

Apple says that it plans to fix the static-like “crackling” sound that some iPhone 8 users are hearing during calls.

Apparently, the problem arises from a software issue, affecting the earpiece, that can be fixed by a new update.

“We are aware of the issue which is affecting customers in a small number of cases,” an Apple spokesperson told The Verge. “Our team is at work on a fix, which will be included in an upcoming software release.”

Apple quickly became aware of the issue after frustrated users began calling Apple directly and posting the problem in online forums. There doesn’t seem to be any link between carriers or locations, as people globally have experienced the static sound.

While it’s not clear when Apple will offer the “crackling” iPhone 8 update, it’s typical for the company to rectify these mild issues after the release of a new product. This is done via a new iOS update, of which Apple just released its first iOS 11 updates, iOS 11.1, yesterday.
