ASSASSINS CREED Live-Action, Animated Shows And Anime Being Produced By Netflix

ASSASSINS CREED Anime

Netflix and Ubisoft are joining forces to create an Assassin’s Creed TV universe! They are developing live-action, anime, animated series which will be based on the hit video game franchise.

The first series that they are creating is “an epic, genre-bending live-action adaptation.” The series will be executive produced by Ubisoft Film and Television’s Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik, and for now, they are looking for a showrunner.

I’m a huge fan of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. I’ve loved playing the games for many years, and it’ll be awesome to see how and what these new live-action and animated shows will deliver! I’m sure you all remember that mediocre movie adaptation that was made with Michael Fassbender in 2016. It can be better, way better! If they are bringing the same production value to the live-action series that they brought to The Witcher, this will be super awesome.

Peter Friedlander, VP, Original Series, Netflix revealed in a statement:

“We’re excited to partner with Ubisoft and bring to life the rich, multilayered storytelling that Assassin’s Creed is beloved for. From its breathtaking historical worlds and massive global appeal as one of the best selling video game franchises of all time, we are committed to carefully crafting epic and thrilling entertainment based on this distinct IP and provide a deeper dive for fans and our members around the world to enjoy.”

Jason Altman, Head of Ubisoft Film and Television – Los Angeles, said:

“For more than 10 years, millions of fans around the world have helped shape the Assassin’s Creed brand into an iconic franchise. We’re thrilled to create an Assassin’s Creed series with Netflix and we look forward to developing the next saga in the Assassin’s Creed universe.”
