AVENGERS: ENDGAME Directors Reveal Where the Line “I Love You 3,000” Actually Came From

One of the most beautiful lines in the movie Avengers: Endgame takes place when Robert Downey Jr.’s character, Tony Stark is putting his daughter Morgan to bed, and she tells him, “I love you 3,000.” He then goes and brags to Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow) that Morgan loves him 3,000, and she’s only in the 600 to 900 range. It’s classic Tony Stark, and it’s charming and sweet.

According to comicbook, co-director Anthony Russo opened up about the line to Watching Hollywood and said it came from Downey Jr., who shared that it was something one of his children said to him. They liked it so much, they voted to put it in the movie. Russo shared that Downey Jr. made many additions to the film in the form of lines, and talked very highly of working with him.
