Pete’s Dragon

Walt Disney Pictures has just debuted a new Pete’s Dragon TV spot. The film is a reimagining of the studios’ 1977 classic, Pete’s Dragon blends live-action and CGI to tell the story of the special bond between an orphaned boy, Pete, and his best friend, Elliott, who just happens to be a dragon.

Wes Bentley (The Hunger Games) plays Jack, a local mill owner; New Zealand native Karl Urban (Star Trek Into Darkness) plays Jack’s brother, Gavin; Oona Laurence plays Natalie, the young girl who befriends Pete; and Oscar-winner Robert Redford (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, All the President’s Men) stars as Grace’s father.

Pete’s Dragon hit theaters on Friday, August 12.
