BBC One and Hulu’s “pre-apocalyptic” crime drama Hard Sun is quite good, I just finished the show and I have to say it has the same impact as Luther. The show, which stars Agyness Deyn as Detective Inspector Elaine Renko and Jim Sturgess Detective Chief Inspector Charlie Hicks, You will see them enforcing the law and protect their loved ones in a world which is about to end.

The new thriller, created by Luther creator Neil Cross and produced by Euston Films, will launch first on the British pubcaster on January 6, 2018, and it will hit US streaming service on March 7.

The show is based in contemporary London, Hicks is a family man and a brilliant, committed officer. He’s also deeply corrupt. Renko is a dark and broken, but very incorruptible officer.  Thus, the two cops stand on different ends of the social and moral ends and also severely distrust one other – and they have good reasons for it.  But they have to work together to survive the upcoming apocalyptic event, It is a very good British detective show and I have shows like this are the reason why I prefer British detective shows on American counterparts, check out the trailer below.
