We are waiting to watch the long-awaited Deadwood movie to be released, HBO has released a new behind-the-scenes video for the fans and to see what is about to come our way.
Deadwood: The Movie comes from writer and creator David Milch and director Daniel Minahan (Game of Thrones) and the video features the amazing cast and crew of the film explaining what it’s been like for them to slip back into their characters after all these years.
In the film, “the indelible characters of the show are reunited after a decade to celebrate South Dakota’s statehood. Former rivalries are reignited, alliances are tested and old wounds reopened as all are left to navigate the inevitable changes that modernity and time have wrought.”
The cast for the film includes Ian McShane (Al Swearengen), Timothy Olyphant (Seth Bullock), Molly Parker (Alma Ellsworth), Paula Malcomson (Trixie), John Hawkes (Sol Star), Anna Gunn (Martha Bullock), Robin Weigert (“Calamity” Jane Canary), William Sanderson (E.B. Farnum), Dayton Callie (Charlie Utter), Brad Dourif (Doc Cochran), Kim Dickens (Joanie Stubbs), and Gerald McRaney (George Hearst). The film also includes a new cast member, Jade Pettyjohn, who will play a character named Caroline.
The Deadwood movie will air on HBO May 31, 2019.
