Best Detective TV Show

Best detective TV show right now! Well that’s a huge debate there are many but to round them up for us there is just Sherlock, Luther, and Ripper Street.

Sherlock is a brilliant show but it has so few episodes every 2 years and it’s on break right now same goes for Idris Elba’s LUTHER which is another very clever detective show with a twist,

Not just great story or very strong characters as good as Sherlock but very creative twist and turns in the show and a very addictive and exhilarating storyline, There is some news for Sherlock fans :

“Sherlock” Season 3 is expected to begin filming later this year, pending the busy schedules of series stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. But in the meantime, “Sherlock” co-creator Mark Gatiss is dropping a few additional hints about the upcoming season.

During a Radio Times party (as reported on Bleeding Cool), Gatiss confirmed that the season premiere of “Sherlock” will be inspired by “The Empty House;” which is the original Arthur Conan Doyle story that reunited Sherlock and Watson after Sherlock’s faked death.

In “The Empty House,” Sherlock uses a disguise to hide his identity even from Watson. However, Gatiss stated that this version of Sherlock will have a different approach.

“We made a decision right from the get-go that [Sherlock] would not do disguise in the traditional sense,” explained Gatiss. “He actually has a line in ‘The Great Game’ which is ‘The art of disguise is knowing how to hide in plain sight’ and that was because, right from the start, I thought modern-day Sherlock Holmes would not put putty noses on, he would basically be standing behind you now

and you wouldn’t know he was there. [Benedict Cumberbatch] has put on various costumes but it’s more about being invisible.”

Ripper Street is a new contender in the detective race and it’s proving itself in terms of writing and characters I believe it has to go a long way to polish itself as Sherlock but I have my faith in the show that it will grow itself and outdone most of the detective show’s out there it’s characters are building up nicely and the story is getting deeper and it’s promising very promising.

None the less It is well-written and certainly well-acted, with plot and psychological twists as numerous and tantalizing as the streets on which they occur.

One more thing is important to mention here is this might be the last season for the SHERLOCK which is a huge blow just because I don’t like detective show’s that easily. I don’t like most of the shows which are just here to showgirls, gadgetry, and Bling and on the very least focuses on the dialogues, script or characters and for me, SHERLOCK And LUTHER is the holy grail of amazing characters and brilliant writing and once in a lifetime show’s which goes in the history books and we left with comparing new shows with them but nothing else match with the same level of cleverness and intelligence.
