Developer Bethesda Softworks revealed after 24 hours of a live stream on Twitch, the new game in the Fallout universe and it is called Fallout 76. If you are a fan of the franchise then you know what Vault 76 is as this has been previously mentioned but never seen in other Fallout Games. The developer has been teasing the new game since yesterday when they posted a tweet with an image saying “Please Stand By.”
There are no official details on the upcoming game at this time. Not much is known about what Bethesda plans to do with Fallout 76, it’s not even clear on which of their studios will be taking point with the development of the game. But the game is already available for pre-order and the standard edition is priced at $59.99 and it will be available to play on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Kotaku reported that Fallout 76 is an online survival RPG, which is somewhat similar to games like DayZ or Rust. Kotaku said that Fallout 76 will still retain the quest system and will even have a story, but new elements such as base building and “survival-based multiplayer mechanics” will also be part of the game. The sources claimed that Fallout 76’s gameplay is “rapidly changing.”
Bethesda promised that more details on Fallout 76 will be revealed at Bethesda’s E3 showcase and it will happen on June 10.
