There are some parents who aren’t very happy with Incredibles 2. One parent complained about the cuss words, which I don’t remember hearing in the movie. Another said the movie was too boring for her four-year-old girl, and I’m not sure we both watched the same movie because there is nothing boring about it! Director Brad Bird responded to these complaints in the bluntest ways.
With all due respect, it is NOT a “kids movie”. It is animated, and rated PG. https://t.co/a6tGzoWvzy

He makes a great point here! There are movie ratings for a reason. If you see a PG rating on a film, you should know what you are getting yourself into. After all, It does mean Parental Guidance suggested.
She’s FOUR. Presumably, she watched the first one at home, where she could run around, do other things, etc. Are you really asking me to write to suit your 4 year old’s (age appropriate) attention span? Do you judge 2&1/2 hour Marvel or Lucasfilm movies the same way? https://t.co/SRGPrymgB8

Bird had the perfect response. I don’t think the director really needs to defend his film because it was so freakin’ good, but it is interesting to see that he felt he needed to address such complaints.
This is a time where people love to complain on social media about everything and filmmakers aren’t going to be able to make everyone happy! So deal with it.
