Check out this amazing new look at Showtime’s upcoming limited series The Comey Rule, which is an adaptation of former FBI director James Comey’s book, A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership.
The story follows Russia’s support and alleged manipulation of the election process, as well as the probe into Trump’s presidency after proof pointed to collusion between his campaign and Russian politicians.
Today a new teaser trailer has been released for the series, featuring Brendan Gleeson as Donald Trump, Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty), Holly Hunter (Raising Arizona, The Big Sick), and more.
The two-part series comes from writer and director Billy Ray, and talking with Vanity Fair regarding what Comey was thinking when he reopened the investigation saying:
“We will show you what he was thinking, moment to moment. One of the options, to do nothing, is a decision, but it’s not an option for him. As a dramatic character, basic story structure, you want to put your hero between a rock and a hard place, write the hero into a corner, and then he has to overcome the obstacles to come out of it, one way or another. And Comey, what he went through was a rock and hard place.”
The show looks brilliant and Brendan Gleeson sounds just like Donald Trump, it will be really amazing watch. Check out the trailer above.
The Comey Rule airs on Showtime over two nights, from September 27, 2020.
