Steven Soderbergh-produced sci-fi film Perfect got its first trailer today. The movie was directed by Eddie Alcazar and it reveals the interesting story of a young man with a rough past who enters a strange clinic where genetic architecture is used to entirely transform the bodies and minds of its patients. The film is being scored by Flying Lotus and this is the synopsis:
A boy in a cold and stark modern house, in a vaguely science fictional world, is seduced by advertisements of perfection to install implantable characteristics directly into his body. The implants heal his dark, twisted visions, but come with a corporeal cost. He persists on applying them, hoping to reach perfection, but ultimately he discovers that purity of mind is not exactly as he’s imagined.
The movie stars Garrett Wareing, Courtney Eaton, Tao Okamoto, Maurice Compte, and Abbie Cornish. There’s no release date for the movie revealed so far, but it recently aired at SXSW.
