Just hours after the news that FOX canceled Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Hulu jumped into picking the show up. They finally ended up passing on it and not after that, it was announced that NBC officially picked up the series!
According to Variety, Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 will consist of 13 episodes and I am sure all over the world friends are rejoicing the news! Robert Greenblatt, chairman of NBC Entertainment had this to say in a statement:
“Ever since we sold this show to Fox I’ve regretted letting it get away, and it’s high time it came back to its rightful home. Mike Schur, Dan Goor, and Andy Samberg grew up on NBC and we’re all thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and best cast comedies in a long time will take its place in our comedy line-up. I speak for everyone at NBC, here’s to the Nine-Nine!”
The series was co-created produced by Mike Schur and Dan Goor and the cast for the sitcom also includes Andre Braugher, Terry Crews, Melissa Fumero, Joe Lo Truglio, Stephanie Beatriz, Chelsea Peretti, Dirk Blocker, and Joel McKinnon Miller. Here’s what some of them had to say on Twitter after the show was picked up by NBC.
