The Walt Disney Co. and Marvel Studios have revealed that they will be paying a tribute to Chadwick Boseman tonight with Black Panther airing on ABC. That will be followed by a special that dives into Boseman’s life and work.
Black Panther will air without ads on ABC from 8 pm.-10:20 pm The rest of the 10 pm hour will be fulfilled by the special, which is called Chadwick Boseman — A Tribute for a King.
Boseman passed away at the age of 43 after four years of personally battling colon cancer. The sudden news of his passing hit the fans hard, and we know his family and friends are going through the unimaginable pain of loss.
The special was created by ABC News, who says that the special will “celebrate Boseman’s storied life, legacy and career, and the cultural imprint he made on- and off-screen. It will feature tributes that have poured in from celebrities, political figures, and fans across the world, special words from those who starred alongside him and knew Boseman best, and shine a light on the medical condition he privately battled.”
