Check Out The New Trailer For Pixar’s LIGHTYEAR

Disney released a new trailer for Pixar’s sci-fi adventure film Lightyear during the Academy Awards. This movie will tell the story of the “real” Space Ranger which we know as Buzz Lightyear. It is the story of the man who motivated that action figure that was introduced in Toy Story.

I’ve loved the footage that I’ve seen from the movie so far and I’m super enthusiastic about watching the movie when it comes out later this summer.

Chris Evans stars in the movie and will take on the role of Buzz Lightyear. The story is about the legendary Space Ranger on an intergalactic adventure, and he finds himself facing off with a “massive robot,” who is the Evil Emperor Zurg.

Director Angus MacLane said in a statement, “Buzz’s world was always something I was excited about. In ‘Toy Story,’ there seemed to be this incredible backstory to him being a Space Ranger that’s only touched upon, and I always wanted to explore that world further. So my ‘Lightyear’ pitch was, ‘What was the movie that Andy saw that made him want a Buzz Lightyear toy?’ I wanted to see that movie. And now I’m lucky enough to get to make it.”

Pixar’s Lightyear will come out in theaters on June 17th, 2022. Bring on the fun!
