Chris Hemsworth has been cast in director Paul Feig‘s female Ghostbusters reboot, and he’ll be taking on the role of the receptionist. Yep, That is right.
The director made the announcement with the following tweet:

Cast for the reboot includes Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones.
According to Variety, the studio went to Hemsworth very early on for one of the major male roles, but he passed on it because he thought the role to be too small. So Sony sent the script back to be reworked, and they beefed up the part. It was obviously to Hemsworth’s liking, because he took it.
Production is set to start later this summer, and the film is scheduled to hit theaters on July 22nd, 2016.
