Chris Pine Portraying William Shatner In ‘Star Trek’ Skit On ‘SNL’

It is pure gold, Chris Pine hosting Saturday Night Live this week, the writers clearly couldn’t resist the chance to let the Star Trek franchise’s new Captain James T. Kirk channel the original iteration of the character by William Shatner.

Pine did a great job playing Shatner for a surreal sketch about the original show’s “lost episode,” featuring Bobby Moynihan as Spock’s secret half-brother, Spocko, and it’s comedy gold.
