Christopher Nolan is teasing the most anticipated new movie project called Tenet. A poster for the new movie has been unveiled yet it doesn’t give any kind of details on the movie.
We don’t know much about this movie at this time, but we do know it will be “an action epic revolving around the world of international espionage.” We also know that it will star John David Washington, Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Clemence Poesy, and Indian actress Dimple Kapadia.
There also a teaser trailer for the movie to the screenings of Hobbs & Shaw, but that teaser doesn’t actually give out much information either! Here’s a description of the teaser according to THR:
The roughly minute-long first look at Tenet opens on a bullet hole that’s punched through some glass. Behind the glass stands John David Washington’s character. The teaser slam cuts to the words, “Time has come for a new protagonist.” Washington’s character walks up to examine the glass. The camera tracks him as he moves to the side, revealing more cracks in the glass…The teaser then slam cuts to the words, “Time has come for a new kind of mission.” Then, it reenters on people dressed as swat team members, or perhaps members kind of special operative unit. Quick cuts of Washington in action flash, before the teaser holds on a shot of Washington, with an oxygen mask over his mouth as he slowly breathes. Beneath the trailer is a pulsing, almost wobbling score, with the bass particularly powerful.
Christopher Nolan doesn’t like giving out much information from his movies. He keeps the details locked away to help protect the moviegoing event for the audiences, and I love that about Nolan that he likes to give surprises in the theater and not like all the movies these days which show everything from the movie in million trailers and teasers! I love that he creates the mystery of his movies before we see them. Nolan is the kind of guy that believes that the small amount you know about his movies, the better the experience you will have in the theater.
Tenet will hit theaters on July 17, 2020.
