Last Halloween Royce Hutain made an LED stick figure costume for his daughter Zoey. The video went viral and has been viewed over 22 million times since! This year, Royce built an updated version for Zoey, an LED Minnie Mouse costume for the family’s trip to Disneyland.
The 2014 version uses digitally addressable LED strips hooked up to an Arduino microcontroller. It is responsive to sound and has 2 potentiometers and a button in the back of one of the ears for control and a microphone hidden in the front. It has 12 modes and 372 LEDs (124 chips with 3 each). Well get to work dads lot of work to do!
