Square Enix revealed a new trailer for Crisis Core –Final Fantasy VII– Reunion. The trailer seeks to convince fans that this isn’t just a remaster of an amazing PSP game. Crisis Core Reunion brings the 15-year-old game into beautiful HD with an excellent graphics overhaul as well as supplying fully voiced dialogue, a revised combat system, a recently arranged soundtrack, and more.
The story of CRISIS CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– REUNION begins seven years before the events of FINAL FANTASY VII and follows Zack Fair, a young Shinra SOLDIER operative. As his adventure unfolds, he discovers the dark secrets of Shinra’s experiments and the monsters they create.
In addition, an infographic was released for Crisis Core Reunion that reveals the resolution and framerate for each version of the game. PC players have the possibility to get the amazing version of the title with up to 120 frames per second depending on your rig. For consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X are the obvious winners with 4K at 60fps with Xbox Series S following up in my view with 60fps at 1080p.
Executive Producer Yoshinori Kitase said:
This is more than a remaster, a game that crosses generations and platforms. We are very proud of all the amazing improvements that the dev team has been able to include in CRISIS CORE –FINAL FANTASY VII– REUNION.
You can play Crisis Core Reunion from December 13 on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox. Also, if you want a high-quality statue of Zack that is otherwise only available with the Japanese Collector’s Edition, you can pre-order one from Square Enix.
