The Crooked Man in THE CONJURING 2 Got Disturbing Alternate Designs

James Wan’s The Conjuring 2 is one of the best horror movie this year, even a guy in India died watching the horror flick. It is my favorite horror movie of the year without any serious competition and the The Crooked Man was one of the best things in the movie. The creepy character was inspired by the children’s nursery rhyme and it was nightmarishly terrifying.

The character was so unnatural in the way it looked in the film that a lot of people thought it was a CGI creation, but it wasn’t! That was live action and it was played by Mama actor Javier Botet. Wan confirmed the this in the following tweet he previously sent out.

The artist reveals that Wan initially envisioned The Crooked Man “with a large moon face.”
