Crystal Pepsi is Coming Back From The 90s
Starting July 11 in Canada and August 8 in the United States, Crystal Pepsi will be available for a suggested price of $1.79 for a 20-ounce bottle. That’s a little more than the average cost of gallon of gas back in 1992, when the clear cola was first released. It eventually disappeared in 1994, with one brief resurgence in the form of a 2015 sweepstakes prize.
“We’ve always had a special place in our heart for Crystal Pepsi, and there has been a huge groundswell of support to bring it back,” the senior director of marketing at Pepsi, Stacy Taffet, said in a statement.
Pepsi launched “The Crystal Pepsi Trail,” an online game based off of the 90s hit “Oregon Trail.” The game will be available on crystalpepsi.net starting July 7.
