Screen Rant also spoke with T.J. Miller who revealed that his character Weasel will be getting scenes with another fan favorite, Karan Soni’s Dopinder.
“We’re shooting in August and September and it’s going to be even more Weaselicious. … The cab driver, Karan Soni, and Weasel have a pretty funny storyline, which I’m not positive is going to be in [the movie], but they were talking about it and it was really making me laugh. And I like him, I did Office Christmas Party with him, and he’s very funny, very quick and so — because we didn’t cross paths in the original film. … So y’know [fans can expect] stuff like that. I think they’re really building out the world and deciding kind of what’s next.”
Ryan Reynolds leads a cast of newcomers that includes Zazie Beetz (Atlanta) as Domino, a luck-manipulating mutant, and Josh Brolin as Cable, the time-traveling son of the X-Men’s Cyclops. Jack Kesy (The Strain, Baywatch), meanwhile, is attached to play the film’s central villain which, while unconfirmed, is rumored to be Irish mutant Black Tom Cassidy. Japanese actress Shioli Kutsuna has also joined the film in a mystery role.
Deadpool 2 will hit theaters on June 1, 2018.
