During the last two years of her life, Princess Diana embarks on a final rite of passage: a secret love affair with Pakistani heart surgeon Hasnat Khan.
And while the trailer shows a montage of clips of the two enjoying the early stages of their romance, it seems the media attention surrounding the princess was far too much for Hasnat to handle.
‘If I marry you, I have to marry the whole world too,’ the doctor tells Diana as the invasion of her privacy from the paparazzi becomes more apparent, with the royal running from cameras and headlines featuring her relationship with Khan.
But after the end of her romance with the heart surgeon, it shows the start of her fling with Dodi Fayed, who is not portrayed as a serious love of Diana’s, but rather a playful rebound to help her get over Hasnat.
This will be a brilliant movie and one to watch with a clear head, A magical woman and her larger then life story that’s all we want to say in the end. May god rest her soul.
