A new installment in The Mysterious Benedict Society sophomore season hits Disney+ this week.
On Wednesday, November 2, the streaming service will release the third episode of The Mysterious Benedict Society Season 2, which premiered its first installment last week. Based on Trenton Lee Stewart’s best-selling children’s book series, The Mysterious Benedict Society is written and created by Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay, with Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin set as showrunners. It stars Tony Hale, Kristen Schaal, MaameYaa Boafo, Ryan Hurst, Gia Sandhu, Mystic Inscho, Seth B. Carr, Emmy DeOliveira, and Marta Kessler.
“In the second season, when the kids discover that Mr. Benedict and Number Two have been kidnapped, they must piece together the riddles and clues within a perilous scavenger hunt set by Mr. Benedict to foil Curtain’s latest scheme,” reads the synopsis. “Relying on only their wits, intellect, and empathy, the charming group of misfits embarks on a globe-trotting adventure by air, land, sea, and pie truck, calling upon their special skills to solve the mysteries and rescue their lost comrades. Along the way, the kids experience the growing pains that come along with being part of their new “found family”, while remaining true to their unique selves. In the process, they discover what true happiness really means.”
