Disney has done it again and got the title of number one studio in the world this past year, as this is its seventh consecutive year to make top numbers in both domestic and worldwide box office sales. It brought in a worldwide $4.9 billion, from a domestic $2 billion, and an overseas $2.9 billion.
Disney had 16 releases, including four of the top eight movies of 2022 stateside with Avatar: The Way of Water, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and Thor: Love and Thunder, contributing to an estimated 27% domestic market share.
