Paramount Pictures got Dwayne Johnson to headline big screen version of Baywatch!
Jeremy Garelick and Peter Tolan were both previously attached to script Baywatch. Their versions of their comedy-heavy take on the script was said to have little to do with the original series, although parts had been written in for both Pamela Anderson and David Hasselhoff to reprise their roles. Current plans for the project, however, are unknown.
Johnson starred earlier this year in Hercules and is set to reprise his franchise role in next summer’s Fast & Furious 7. Anders and Morris, meanwhile, are about to release their latest, Horrible Bosses 2.
Dwayne Johnson has confirmed his involvement and says the movie will be “edgy, raunchy and hopefully, funny as hell.”
