Edward Norton is starring in and he is also directing an upcoming 1950s crime thriller called Motherless Brooklyn and it looks like a fabulous movie! In the movie, Norton plays a detective with Tourette’s Syndrome who is working to solve a murder. This looks like a classic film project and role for Norton looks brilliant, I love the character and love such smart movies.
The movie is an adaption of Jonathan Lethem‘s novel, and this is the synopsis:
Set against the backdrop of 1950s New York, Motherless Brooklyn follows Lionel Essrog (Norton), a lonely private detective afflicted with Tourette’s Syndrome, as he ventures to solve his friend’s (Willis) murder. Also starring an impressive ensemble cast that includes Bruce Willis, Michael Kenneth Williams, Leslie Mann, Willem Dafoe, Ethan Suplee, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Alec Baldwin, Bobby Cannavale, Fisher Stevens, Dallas Roberts, Cherry Jones, and Josh Pais.
