We are all waiting for it badly, and here it is! Disney and Lucasfilm have released the first trailer for The Mandalorian! This Disney+ series looks like it’s going to be super awesome! It’s a must-watch for Star Wars fans. This show is what is getting me to get the subscription of Disney+ in the first place. Rest on the service is an added bonus.
The series stars Pedro Pascal (Narcos) as “a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy.” It also got Gina Carano (Deadpool) as Cara Dune, Carl Weathers (Predator) as Greef Carga, Omid Abtahi (American Gods) as Dr. Pershing, Werner Herzog (Grizzly Man), as well as Nick Nolte, Giancarlo Esposito, and Emily Swallow in undisclosed roles, and Taika Waititi as the voice of the droid IG-11.
The story of the show is set following the fall of the Empire and before the rise of the First Order and check out the synopsis:
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
Jon Favreau wrote the incredible series and you can imagine how it will going to be, acts as the showrunner and is an executive producer. This is his love child and it looks like he and his artistic team did an astounding job making the show!
Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) is directing the first episode and as executive producer with Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Additional directors include Deborah Chow (Jessica Jones), Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Bryce Dallas Howard (Solemates), and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok).
The Mandalorian will air on Disney+ on November 12th, 2019.
