2019 marks the 30th anniversary of Disney’s classic and iconic 1989 movie Honey, I Shrunk The Kids. I like that movie when I was a child and Disney is currently making a remake of it for Disney+. The new upcoming movie will be set in the same universe as the original movies which you know and love and Josh Gad will take on the role of Adam Szalinski, the son of Rick Moranis’ character Wayne Szalinski in the original movies.
SyFy Wire has released an exciting new video that points out many aspects of the original movie that you may not have known before. One of the first things it points out that the film was made on a budget of $18 million and ended up grossing $130 million. It made more money than The Little Mermaid, Back to the Future Part II, and Ghostbusters II that year and it was not shocking at all, the movie was original and story was awesome.
