Nintendo broadcasted the latest Direct presentation that centers on upcoming games for the Switch and 3DS platforms. The live stream of the presentation delved into the overview of the forthcoming Nintendo Switch online and a multitude of game announcements that includes big games that fans have been waiting for.
First on the list is Animal Crossing game for the Nintendo Switch, which is slated to release in 2019. Ever since the launch of the console last year, fans have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of a proper Animal Crossing game to the Switch.
The Direct presentation also revealed the new gameplay video for Luigi’s Mansion 3 that will retain the features of previous games such as weird camera angles and the vacuuming of ghosts. Luigi’s Mansion is also set to release to the Nintendo Switch next year. A few Wii U games are also being ported to the Switch that includes Super Mario Bros. U in January and Yoshi’s Crafted World in Spring 2019.
Several third-party titles such as the upcoming ports of classic Final Fantasy Games such as VII, IX, X, X-2 HD Remaster, and XII are all scheduled to arrive next year. Moreover, the Direct presentation revealed other third-party titles such as EA Sports FIFA 19, Starlink: Battle for Atlas, Diablo III: Eternal Collection, Mega Man 11, Katamari Damacu REROLL, to name a few.
As for the 3DS titles, the latest Nintendo Direct showcased the arrival of the original Luigi’s Mansion on October 12, Kirby’s Epic Yarn on 2019, and Mario & Luigi’s Bowser’s Inside Story + Bowser Jr.’s Journey on January.
The presentation also gives a short overview of the upcoming Nintendo Switch Online service, which is scheduled to release next week. On September 18, Switch players will be able to get the 7-day free trial of the service, which will release with the latest Switch System update that will permanently link a Nintendo Account to the console. The subscription will cost $3.99 for one month, $7.99 for three months, and $19.99 for 12 months.
