Exhilarating New Clip From Sam Mendes’ WWI Epic 1917 Called ‘Running Through Ruins’

Check out this incredible new clip from award-winning director Sam Mendes’ upcoming war epic movie, 1917. Every shot in this movie is so impressive, and this scene is not any different from the rest of the movie. Entitled “Running through ruins,” the long, sweeping, single-shot follows a man running for his life and concludes with a long jump. The whole thing is exhilarating and makes me even more eager to watch this film.

Here’s the synopsis:

At the height of the First World War, two young British soldiers, Schofield (Captain Fantastic’s George MacKay) and Blake (Game of Thrones’ Dean-Charles Chapman) are given a seemingly impossible mission. In a race against time, they must cross enemy territory and deliver a message that will stop a deadly attack on hundreds of soldiers—Blake’s own brother among them.

The film boasts an amazing cast stars Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch, Richard Madden, Mark Strong, Dean-Charles Chapman, George MacKay, and Andrew Scott. 1917 will hit theaters on December 25, 2019.
