Watch the new TV spot for director Dan Trachtenberg’s upcoming Predator movie, Prey. This movie is set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago and the story is about a Predator on Earth hunting down Comanche warriors. The film was produced by Jhane Myers (Monsters of God), who is an acclaimed filmmaker and member of the Comanche nation herself and “is known for her attention and dedication to films surrounding the Comanche and Blackfeet nations and her passion for honoring the legacies of the Native communities. As a result, the film features a cast comprised almost entirely of Native and First Nation’s talent.”
While the trailer for the movie features dialogue being delivered in flawless English, the movie will also be released with an option to watch it in the Comanche language. It’s so awesome that we will get to hear the characters talk as they would have 300 years ago.
The film’s cast includes Amber Midthunder (The Ice Road, Roswell, New Mexico), newcomer Dakota Beavers, Stormee Kipp (Sooyii), Michelle Thrush (The Journey Home), and Julian Black Antelope (Tribal).
Prey will be released on Hulu on August 5, 2022.
